Colors and looks of the last century, no matter how many windows you put. It has the flavour of comunism.
Well, the colors are just a user preference, of course. The default configuration we ship XBoard with looks more like this:

(But there are people that prefer the traditional colors, and even colors are a great saver of server space and bandwidth when posting screenshots! )

And where did you get the idea that there would be no full UCI support? You are not very well informed on this, are you? We even have full UCCI and USI support. Currently not yet at the same time, but in future versions even that will be possible.
No wonder you like it, in comunism they don't respect copyrights...

Well, I guess there is no real need to comment on that, as even before this remark you already made it abundantly clear to all readers that you have gone insane over the theft of your precious interviews...

Hi,

with 1000 adapters for UCI engines and crypric setups, no thanks, not even if you would pay me to use it. This is why I decided to take it away from our link section, peole there don't support copyright infrigments and illegal hosting...

Michael
Hi,

we don't host crap, we had a link to your page but as you support illegal activities we will not longer link to your page. Don't spread lies.

Hello Michael,

Use Winboard or not. I have had nothing but respect for your position and I even like your gui but your continuous disrespect is incredible.

Alright, you do not like Winboard, fine. Many others do not as well.

However many do, including myself.

Crap? Pay you to use it? DOS? Last century?

Now I see how the Arena team gives respect.....

Later.

"Communism" is with "mm", and I like rabid anti-Communists 20 years after the fall of Communism as much as I like rabid Catholics in 17th Century Spain.

What's the matter with your petty interview? There are much more "interesting" and "valuable" stolen things. Do you have a personal psychiatrist out there?

Frankly, I am using more Winboard and LittleBlitzer than Arena, my bad.

Scanned copies of the Harry Potter books can be found online if one looks hard enough. This has been true since day one. That didn't stop Jo Rowling from writing more. It didn't stop Bloomsbury, Levine, or other publishers from publishing them. Perhaps 5% of all readers of any given book got it illegally. Most of those people wouldn't have paid for the books anyway. Pirating and plagiarism are parts of the cost of doing business for the owners of any form of intellectual property, be it music, books, articles, media, software, etc.

If you want to stop hosting Arena, then do so, but it's stupid to do that because a few idiots have used your output without your permission. What you're doing, in essence, is to screw everybody who's supported you over the years and everybody who's asked for permission to link or use your interviews over the year.

In other words, because of a few jerks, you're going to punish everybody else who ISN'T a jerk. It doesn't make sense, and it isn't fair to the loyal and honest majority to cheat them on account of a few rude people.

By taking the stance you're taking, you're not only overreacting and looking immature, you're also being as mean to the many many good people as you claim the few bad people are being to you.

Think about it.

I'll second that. I played a 2200+ game tournament in Arena, it had 40 or so games that an engine lost on time, the game was adjucated incorrectly or there were simply ?? in the name field. How these happen I have no idea. I ran the EXACT same tournament minus books and had 0 errors.

I like Arena and I think it has made progress but I still can't even run an STS test suite.

Hi,

I bring back the same respect I get, let's take a look and cite HG Muller

Well, forget about Arena. It is for the brain dead

no more test versons at least for 3 weeks, main release maybe for 5-7 weeks.
