Thanks Swami, I assume this game was played with no book/learning and ponder on?

Human game:Learning On, Ponder off. I wonder what's the good time control? perhaps I could use the one from your suggestion. Does 10+5 for comp look good? and Ponder On?

The tournament - Ponder off, Learning off, predefined Noomen opening suite.

I prefer ponder on for your games with it; after all, LL seems to be getting plenty of testing with ponder off and the time management is quite different in the two cases. It looks like in the game you just published that you had an empty learn file (indicated by the fact that it was analyzing after each move) and not using the learn file to determine 'book' moves. This is a fine situation to test in (I hope the engine can play reasonably with no book) but if you want some variety in the game you want to use the learn file I sent you. The 10 + 5 time control should be fine, or whatever is interesting to you (variety is good).

Ofcourse, You are right, I had forgotten to put the learning file back to the folder, because the gauntlet tournament with learning off was running, and I gave it a break, to come around and play human vs engine. Next time, I use the separate folder with learning on and engine. 10 + 5 and ponder on sounds fine.

The Tournament is finished, due to the frequent power shut down at home, I instead used this time control: 40/40 40/20 40/10. And everything seems to be Ok. I will find out where the error is, Outline them all, mark the frequency of the certain error and send you the games.

Thanks Swami...I will use your comments for what will hopefully be the last rebuild of the eval function before the next ACCA tourney. It is already using its rooks a little better based on some of your previous comments.

That's good to know, Sam.

I have uploaded the Lemming games, here is the link:

Lemming vs Movei 0-1 (Game number 7)

31. Bc4?? Black will play a4, and the weak squares will give white a disadvantage.

32. Kc2? Hint: a4 would still be better positionally.

(Error: Understanding Weak Squares)

33. Nc2? What's the point of going backwards with the knight?

Hint: Play Rf1 and attack the f7 pawn, Knight on e4 controls more squares on the center, so there's no need to be afraid of the h passer pawn. (Error: Unnecessary backward piece movement)

(To be Continued...)

Lemming vs Pro Deo 0-1 (Game 8)

12. Rc1? Hint: cxd5...this will create a good connected passer on Queen side + an open file advantage on "A" file. (Key Words: Connected Passer, Open file)

16. d5?? Don't push up the pawn when it is not well positioned positionally. Pushing up the d5 pawn will only mess up the pawn structure.(Key Words: Pawn Structure in the center)

18. Rac3? Ba6 is better move, idea is to not allow the Rook to be placed on the open file, Black will take advantage of this file because the rooks are connected. (Key words: Open Files, and Preventing the opponent from getting the Open file)

24. Bd3?? What's the point of moving the piece backward, it serves no purpose other than 1.waste moves 2.Deviate from the good position.
Hint: Play a4, Bring the last rank rook to the Queen side. (Key words: Unnecessary Backward moves)

25-27 Moves wasted - repetition waiting. Totally Unnecessary.Lacking any plans. (Key words: Repetitious Computer like waiting moves)

Plays very defensively the rest of the game, instead of going aggressive.
