Probably so, the others could have used the same trick.

there always have been these strange political decisions on ICCA/ICGA championships.
it seems there is no real RULE who has to pay and who not.
it depends on your relationship towards the board of the ICCA.
if you are in good relationship with them you don't have to pay,
e.g. you KNOW or your friend KNOWS one of the members of the board of the ICGA. that would help much.

its IMO not much senseful to discuss the WHY behind there decisions.
there often is no reason WHY they do this or that.
thats part of the system.

I am not sure but I suspect that entering as Zappa and not Zap may be an attempt to not pay the entry fee. As they will argue that Erdo operates a program that is not for sale and no longer being developed.

Next year we will take SIARCS to China

Yeah, right, but if all people would only vote for one engine we would see 100% score for Rybka. Basicly that's allright, but on this way i can't determine who will be second, third or fours rank after your personal favorite.
