Could you please play a match between your Novag Savant II and your TASC R40. After Savant loses, not only will I pay double your tip fees, but I'll pay for shipping the aforementioned unit to the southern hemisphere.

Thanks in Advance Regards

sadly as you well know Jon

NO Savants exist today in perfectly working condition
the display screen will no longer depict the chess pieces

however the processor can still work and if attached to the novag printer a game of chess can still be played IF...The board is still able to recognize touch input

while none of my Savants have a working display screen i do have working processors in a Savant I and in the Savant II which do still recognize touch input
the Savant Royale is dead as a doorknob with nothing working ..not even the back lamps

so i could manage a game as you suggested with the Savant II

it should be noted however...
that my "off to the tip with you" rule only applies to matches held by me and an unrelated outside party
matches held by me alone do not carry these severe penalties for the loser

Idiot Savant Regards

That's OK. I'll help you out. You can select any computer from my collection so long as it is 1900 ELO or higher and I'll kindly operate it in a match against the Savant.

On a serious note, you can probably appreciate why I have been putting so much effort lately into getting Mychess to work in an authentic hardware environment. I've even been searching in vein for an IBM 5150 replica kit!!!

Antique Regards

You also have to share a bed so that you can watch each other 24/7.

Steve I suggest you hide anything that is plastic ;-)
