Jumbo 0.5.27

Post by Sven » Mon Dec 18, 2017 11:12 pm

I have released Jumbo 0.5.27. In my ultra-fast test games it has been stronger than the previous release 0.5.3 by about 40-50 Elo points.

This is not my most recent development version. I have also started to develop a parameter tuner based on the Texel tuning method (but with static eval instead of qsearch). So 0.6.x is still in the making.

Really who cares anymore whether Komodo or any other Engine gets updated anymore unless they incorporate MCTC algorithm into it, instead of the now obsolete Alpha-Beta Search.
How can we argue against that sterling piece of reasoning

Hope that implementing the Texel method of tuning is fun, interesting, and fruitful for you.

Thanks. I usually ignore obsolete BS posts like those saying that "Alpha-Beta is obsolete". I will most probably never reach the level of SF so why should I care about never reaching the level of AlphaZero?
