Pigeon 1.5.0 released

Post by StuartRiffle » Thu Sep 01, 2016 6:36 pm

64-bit binaries for Windows and Linux are here:
https://github.com/StuartRiffle/pigeon/releases

- First pass of tuning weights by logistic regression ("Texel-style")
- Fixed a bug causing some promotions to be emitted as illegal moves (doh)
- Minor improvement to time management

This pigeon is stronger than the last, but still has some work to do before it can play with the big boys!

Still, if you're in the mood for a blitz match, it plays on ICC as Pigeon, and on FICS as PigeonEngine.

Cheers,
-Stuart

Thank you for the new version of Pigeon. It does play stronger, from the limited testing I have done so far.

Here 64 games so far but it looks like a decent improvement.
