Andscacs - New version 0.87

Post by cdani » Sun Jun 19, 2016 4:01 pm

I published a new version of Andscacs, 0.87. Is just a little stronger than the one playing at TCEC stage 2. It has too many changes and I did not want to wait any more. Also should be clearly stronger. An example is the current results on Graham "Super tournament".

http://www.andscacs.com/andscacs087.zip

Changes:
* Improved various evaluation parameters.
* Improvements on king safety.
* Improved imbalances and space evaluation.
* Improved passed pawns.
* Improved some endgames.
* Improved lmr.
* Speed improvements.
* Solved little bugs.
* Tries to avoid to give draw too easily.
* Improved SMP scaling.
* Improved time management.
* Improved move sorting.

I will explain on detail the changes when Andscacs is out of TCEC.

Can we dream about an Android build as mobile freaks?

I expect at some point I will try to do it, but not for the moment :-) I don't have much time.

Hi Daniel,

I love the engine and its playing style, its great and seems aggressive.

Are there any plans in future for weakening/tweaking/personalities as in Rodent/Prodeo and co?

I'd love to play Andscacs in some training games, but in its current form obviously its much too strong (I'm a lowly 2200ish).

If you are focussed on strength at the moment and TCEC goals, thats cool.

Keep up the great work buddy. :)
