TCEC Season 9
TCEC Season 9 is coming soon, as per the official announcement posted at http://www.chessdom.com/tcec-season-9-o ... announced/
Re: TCEC Season 9
It would be nice to see Sugar participate... I hope Martin makes an exception, even though the engine is based on Stockfish. However it has entirely different playing style. Also it supports Polyglot books and Large Pages, which Stockfish does not
Protector is playing and is based on Toga which is Fruit derivative.
Why should not Sugar participate as well ?

Re: TCEC Season 9
Logic is wrong ...... sugar gets the entire code from SF ........ everytime a new SF version is released sugar basically copies it and then applies few patches which SF did not approve. There is nothing unique in sugar. Have you tried playing SF against sugar in LTC, im sure there will be no difference. sugar is more for STC where the few changes may succeed
Re: TCEC Season 9
Awesome! I'd love to see a new Shredder version.
Re: TCEC Season 9
Sugar is just a blatant clone of Stockfish with nothing except a few parameter changes, definitely shouldn't be included.Damir wrote:It would be nice to see Sugar participate... Protector is by now a original engine, it is FAR more distinct from Toga/Fruit than Sugar and Stockfish.
Re: TCEC Season 9
We already know the result, more or less. 52% versus 48% you care seriously??
This is a problem.
This is a problem.

I hope the Opening Statistics is more in the 35-65% this time to avoid high draw ratio.
