Galjoen v0.32 released
I have put an new version on my website:
-Galjoen uses a material table now instead of calculating material on each position.
-NPS has doubled.
w32 and w64 binaries are included.
It's probably 50 elo stronger than v0.31. Here are the results of a gauntlet:
OS: linux
GUI: galjoengui
ponder: on
book: Adam-Hair-10moves-199041.pgn
level: 40 moves / 60 seconds (repeated)
Galjoen_v0.32 - Napoleon: 66 - 98 - 36 ( W - L - D )
Galjoen_v0.32 - Gk-0.90: 69 - 96 - 35
Galjoen_v0.32 - Barbarossa: 80 - 95 - 25
Galjoen_v0.32 - Vice: 87 - 85 - 28

Re: Galjoen v0.32 released
Thanks Werner. I'm going to test it as soon as possible (starting probably in a couple of days).

Re: Galjoen v0.32 released
I added another version to the archive (64 bit only).
This one has symbols stripped and is linked statically so you do not need any additional DLL files.

Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.

Re: Galjoen v0.32 released
That looks better indeed. Your file is 10 times smaller than mine. I've replaced my files by stripped ones now.
Re: Galjoen v0.32 released
I don't know if the new exe is faster but if it is maybe it should be given a new version number, otherwise it will falsify results obtained with the large exe.Werner Taelemans wrote:That looks better indeed. Your file is 10 times smaller than mine. I've replaced my files by stripped ones now.
