zurichess basel released

Post by brtzsnr » Mon Apr 27, 2015 8:03 pm

Hello, everyone!

I'm adding zurichess basel to the list of recent chess engines releases.

The release binaries can be found here: https://bitbucket.org/brtzsnr/zurichess/downloads
Linux AMD64 - https://bitbucket.org/brtzsnr/zurichess ... inux-amd64
Windows AMD64 - https://bitbucket.org/brtzsnr/zurichess ... -amd64.exe

Since last release:

Code: Select all

This release's theme is improving the evaluation function.
* Speed up move ordering considerably.
* Implement null move pruning.
* Clean up and micro optimize the code.
* Tune check extensions and move ordering.
* Award mobility and add new piece square tables.
* Handle three fold repetition.
* Cache pawn structure evaluation.
* Fix transposition table bug causing a search explosion around mates.
I expect this release to be 150-180 ELO better than zurichess appenzeller.

Code: Select all

800 @ 40/60+0.05
518 - 124 - 158
ELO 187.39±23.86
As usual the source code can be found at https://bitbucket.org/brtzsnr/zurichess/overview

The latest development Linux AMD64 binary can downloaded from drone.io:
https://drone.io/bitbucket.org/brtzsnr/ ... /zurichess

Please use the new version for testing and/or rating lists.
