New free engine - Orion
From the author:
I'm pleased to release a first public version of my little UCI engine : Orion 0.1 !
Information, executable and logo can be found here : http://orionchess.pagesperso-orange.fr
Note that only a 64 bit version for Windows is provided (without the popcnt instruction support so it should work everywhere).
According my own tests, Orion should be somewhere around 2000 elo.
Don't hesitate to test it and give me feedback !
Thanks,
David.

What has the Horsehead nebula to do with Orion? The Orion constellation contains the Orion nebula.Norbert Raimund Leisner wrote:cf. the chess logo with

The Horsehead Nebula (also known as Barnard 33 in emission nebula IC 434) is a dark nebula in the constellation Orion.[1] The nebula is located just to the south of the star Alnitak, which is farthest east on Orion's Belt, and is part of the much larger Orion Molecular Cloud Complex.

are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it.
