Stockfish 2.2.2 JA (UCI)
http://www.stockfishchess.com/
by Tord Romstad, Marco Costalba & Joona Kiiski. (Stockfish Team)
Windows/Linux/Android 64/32
Changes:
64 bit windows compiles built with GCC instead of Intel - 5-6% speed increase.
Code changes are very little: it should be a bit faster & a bug is fixed where SF in some
(rare) positions erroneously moves immediately without thinking, as it should do.
Available my homepage & from Stockfish website shortly.
Jim.

Hi, thank you.
On i7 980x (intel) 1 core, speed is faster on 2.2.1 64 bit sse42 (around 1618 kn/s against around 1598 kn/s of 2.2.2 64 bit ss42). I let it for around 7 minutes. The old 2.2.1 64 bit sse42 also reaches depth much faster.
Regards
MM

Sorry to post a problem, but Ray reports that the SSE4 version crashes immediately on his Phenom II X6.

I'm running an ultra fast match 2.2.2 64 bit ss42 vs 2.2.1 64 bit sse42 on Intel i7 980x 3,33. No crashes (but it's intel).
Before i referred to the start position. Now i ve set a position in the middlegame and 2.2.2 is slightly faster (kn/s).

Hi Graham,
Could you ask Ray to contact me via email (have lost his email) and I will
send him some test sse4.2 builds to try for his Phenom.
thanks,
Jim.
