CuckooChess 1.12

Post by petero2 » Mon Oct 24, 2011 5:43 pm

Hi,

CuckooChess 1.12 is now released and can be downloaded from my web page: http://web.comhem.se/petero2home/javachess/index.html

Version 1.12 scores about 59.3% (+61 ELO according to bayeselo) vs version 1.11 at fast time controls. Hopefully it scores better also when playing other opponents.

The changelog is here: http://web.comhem.se/petero2home/javach ... ngeLog.txt

Yes, I look forward to Jim's exe too.

Jim's compiles are usually the fastest way to run CuckooChess on 32-bit windows. However, on 64-bit windows, the fastest way to run CuckooChess is to use the jar file and a 64-bit java runtime.

Are you avoiding the java version because of engine speed ?
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

No, I'm just not that technically adept.

Under ChessGUI, you need only the jar file.
Rename it to "Cuckoo 112.jar" without the quotes.
Install as UCI2+java engine. It needs "uci" as command line option.

If java is not jet installed on your PC, you will need

Actually CuckooChess now defaults to uci mode, so it should work without the "uci" command line option.

I just finished testing v1.11 64-bit for the 40/4 list.

v1.11 - 2652 Elo
v1.10 - 2587 Elo

I guess I will do v1.12 soon. Sounds like it will 2700+ Elo.

I forgot to add that I have not used the .jar file, but I will be for v1.12.
