Can you imagine the same arguments being used to justify cloning Rolex watches? Even if you build a watch that was nothing like a Rolex they would be pointing out that every watch uses the same principle and therefore how can you criticize these Rolex clones? Where did you get the idea for the hour hand? The minute hand? Where did you get YOUR ideas for a watch? Then of course they would accuse you of being a hypocrite.
