I have released a new version of Jazz (revision 501, compared to the former 444)!
So far it is source-only (sorry), but I'll try to get Linux, OS X and Windows binaries up in the next few days.
I have fixed several bugs (minor and major), simplified some code, re-tuned the king safety evaluation, changed the scoring of passed pawns and fixed the overly simplistic scoring of candidates. The new version should be a bit stronger than the old.
It is available here:

Have fun!

I have now uploaded 32 and 64 bit executables for Linux, Mac and Windows. The Windows ones are largely untested except that they run on my machine under Wine.
The Mac binary includes PPC support just for the fun of it.
Let me know if there are any issues.

Should have added: I've only included executables of the xboard version. I still have the UCI version in the source arhive and it compiles fine, but I haven't actually tested it recently so it may be suffering from some bitrot/hidden bugs.

Thanks Evert and Jim. I tested the ARM binary of Jazz in Chess for Android against an earlier release with a quick one-second-per-move tournament on a Nexus S, setting the hash size to 32MB and using the Silver Opening Suite. Results below.
Code: Select all
1 Jazz v444 JA +43/-35/=22 54.0/100
2 Jazz v5.01 JA +35/-43/=22 46.0/100
