This has come out of the blue, Ubaldo. :)

I can already tell you that the FRC capability has been more than welcome by a certain member of our group...

Can we learn something about the style of your engine? At what area(s) does it excel?

Best wishes,

Wow. I like the idea od bulding engine that detects pawn blockages. Hope it does better than Shredder here.

Happy to hear that. I always try to implement as many things as possible, though for now only few knowledge was added for FRC.

Chiron gives a lot of importance to mobility and king safety and scores less than other engines, on average, the material, so it should always keep an active play and sacrifices from time to time...or at least I hope so :)
Perhaps I should add some example to the site.

Anyway, with the first update the user will be able to change the style of play thanks to customizable personalities.

I also like the ability to detect static and dynamic pawn blockages which makes it look less stupid than other engines on certain positions, though it doesn't add much to the Elo. It's rather easy to implement and doesn't slow down the engine at all because you can use the hash table.
In future versions I would also like make something for fortresses.

Hi..i read in your FAQ

Will I receive free updates?
Yes, you will receive free updates for 6 months. If you bought Chiron during the preorder days, you will receive free lifetime updates. All customers will receive updates with corrections of serious bugs even after 6 months from the purchase.

1.Is this only pointed on Chiron 1 ? or is this free lifetime updates also for Chiron 2,3,4,..and so on!
2.Lifetime = How many years are you planning to continue with releasing new Chiron engines before you retired from chess?

Kind regards,
Jean-Paul.
