Keep up the good work! I see version 0.7.5 on ccrl but nothing newer. Is this version significantly stronger that 0.7.5?

Don, version 0.9.5 is about 200 Elo stronger than 0.7.5.
Aser from CCRL is running some gauntlets for version 0.9:
Code: Select all
1 RedQueen 0.9 64-bit -2673- 76.5/120
2 Gaviota 0.80 64-bit 2642 11.5/24
3 Bruja 1.9.1 64-bit 2574 10.0/24
4 Trace 1.36 2591 8.5/24
5 Pawny 0.2 64-bit 2532 7.5/24
6 Eeyore 1.52 64-bit 2542 6.0/24
http://kirill-kryukov.com/chess/discuss ... f=7&t=5712
Also, Werner from CEGT is running tests for the new release using the 64 bits version.
In average RedQueen improve +/- 100 Elo per new release (except for bugfix releases).
I expect something around 2700 Elo for the new release.
RedQueen Elo history:
Code: Select all
ReQueen 0.5 --> 2180 Elo
ReQueen 0.6 --> 2280 Elo
ReQueen 0.7 --> 2450 Elo
ReQueen 0.75 --> 2530 Elo
ReQueen 0.8 --> 2620 Elo
ReQueen 0.9.5 --> +/- 2700 Elo
* some numbers are based on CCRL/CEGT and others from my own tests.

Yes, I see that now. RedQueen is becoming one of the better programs, congratulations!

I predicted this.
I met Ben Hur in Leiden and after talking to him and getting to know him a bit I felt that he was likely to represent the next wave of top programmers.
Of course with the clones and cheaters new talent suffers - they won't get the recognition they deserve - so I'm happy to see that Ben Hur has been able to keep his interest level high and that his improvements have not gone unnoticed.
It's my feeling that we will lose a lot of talent and diversity due to the cloners.

Thank you for your kind words, Don. I hope to keep improving my engine and to correspond to your predictions in a near future.
