Post by IWB » Wed Sep 08, 2010 6:41 pm

... is out on the Android market!

The automatic adjusting playing strenth feature of Shredder is something which pushed me to play for myself again! :-)

Have fun

Do you have a detailed feature list? Does it support saving variations for example?

No, I do not have such a list and it does not supporting saving variations. It is basically identical with the Iphone version.

I saw a Shredder on Android (HTC Desire) that is bright in the first seconds
but the display is dimmed and too dark after a very short time.
Is this a feature or flaw in Shredder?
Is this a display timeout that is not deactivated by the Shredder app?
How can this be avoided?

Must be an energy saving option....

Hi Harald,

I have a Desire too (what else) so this is comparable:

I have a white screen where I see 4 buttons for play, tactics, rating and info. It is quite bright and it stays like that for 1 minute. Then my Desire is switching off, of course in bright sunlight it might seem pale! This is a setting by me in my Desire and I want to have it like this.

Feature or flaw depends on the point of view. If someone wants to be the "master of his Desire" (nice) he might be annoyed by an application that is playing around with his energy saving settings, if you want to play for a long time without thinking about energy you might be annoyed by your energy saving settings. Whatever you do as a programmer, someone is disapointed!

Menu-> Settings -> Display -> and now "Brightness" and "Display timeout"
