ChessGUI 0.189 is out.

Post by Matthias Gemuh »

ChessGUI 0.189 is out.

The logic simplifications introduced in ChessGUI 0.185/0.186 have now been cross-checked and every found bug fixed.
Only Caparandom chess has not yet been cross-checked.

I strongly recommend updating to this version.

Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

ChessGUI 0.190 is out.

ChessGUI 0.190 is out.

- book creation now complete and tested.
(throw away all winning books from previous ChessGUIs, sorted or unsorted)

- Caparandom chess activated (use any of my weak 10x8 engines, e.g. ArcBishop80, BigLion80).

ChessGUI 0.190 is virtually bugfree, so I may freeze development at this point for a while.

Hello Matthias,

That's right, invite the devil in the front door with those bug-free statements you are making!

:-)

Thanks for your tireless work.

Later.

Hi Roger,

thanks for exposing a bug:
ChessGUI 0.190 is indeed bug-free, not bugfree.

By that, of course, Matthias means that all of the bugs are free!
They are worth every penny, by the way.

ChessGUI 0.191 is out.

Bug-free ChessGUI 0.190 is now even bug-freer !

I strongly recommend upgrading to this bug-free ChessGUI 0.191.

Hi Mathias!
Theres something wrong with bugfree 191 :D
Start a match between two engines with borrow gui book, the game continuing at finish and crash.
Remember, this may be with two engines with "borrow gui book" as setting
Sorry for my english, expect that was clear
Regards

I think your ChsGUI_Book.bk3 is too old for bug-free 191
Delete it and generate a new winning book from small pgn file.
You may find this latest ChessGUI.exe better for creating books:

http://www.hugedrive.com/published/WG/s ... =-8204c69f

Inform me if that solves the problem.
