Whilst I can understand Leo's and Guenther's indignation, what exactly are they hoping to achieve through their actions?
Seems to me that those most hurt are the genuine computer chess lovers that visited their sites daily as a matter of course.

I agree Graham. If they close for good it will be a problem for us.
A real name and password would help. Just as it is here or should
be in this forum.

The same thoughts had crossed my mind Graham,so we are punished and the thieves that rised the whole problem get away with it,just like that :?
I wonder what catastrophic events are going to shake our small community yet :!: :?:

Maybe some growing up is needed from those who run chess sites. I didn't know the Argentinian site and even now that it has been named there is nothing there for me to see or visit it in future. Should Microsoft, ChessBase, Convekta etc stop making software because a few of their property has been stolen and ignore millions upon millions of legitimate customers?

I only visit the mainstream chess sites because many of them link to each other. Sure the likes of Superchessengine could be cleaned up/updated a bit but to close your site down because of a site that 99% of chess players have not heard of is rediculous.

It isnt ridiculous if they are using your bandwidth...Also, like Microsoft, convekta or Chessbase, Leo and Guenther doesnt make any money.

Using their bandwidth is a pure sample of thievery and can't be tolerated....

Yes - this I feel was the reason behind Leo's and Guenther's decisions.
I wonder if there's a way that they can safeguard against this happening without having to close those pages?
