Dorky website is gone!
It was saved in wayback though (changed the links in my chronology).
Links for Dorky versions above 4.3 have not changed. They were not on Matts site.

Re: New engine releases 2020
I don't think I've mentioned it here on talkchess before, but this is kind of a predecessor to Koivisto, https://github.com/altarchess/Altar. Its not very strong but it is definetly original
This is probably one of its best games (crushing Koivisto when it was around 2800 elo cclr strength): https://lichess.org/51Bn6b2j

I know it and informed Gabor too, but I could never compile it for my hardware.Koivisto wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 1:28 pm I don't think I've mentioned it here on talkchess before, but this is kind of a predecessor to Koivisto, https://github.com/altarchess/Altar. (also it was an anonymous repo, which isn't my interest, so I had no motivation for fiddling too much with it)
The available binary obviously has popcount and/or instructions above SSE 4.1.

Re: New engine releases 2020
While checking new updates, I realized a forgotten commit for Achillees from Daniel Diaz.
This commit seems to be stipulated by some report from CCRL as it improves time management, especially for repeating tcs.
https://github.com/Tempate/Achillees
I took the freedom to rename it to version 1.01 while compiling. (readme included and src link)
The download contains a version for old and bmi2 capable hardware, the latter untested for obvious reasons.
https://rwbc-chess.de/download.htm
Just did a little test match at 120s/40, the result should be typical statistical noise with just 4 games,
as I don't expect it to add more than a few rating points, but who knows.
Anyhow it can be seen it uses more time now especially in the beginning and the end
of a move session. (could still be improved though)
May be its interesting for collectors or testers ;-)

Re: New engine releases 2020
Should not the author of engine Achillees use another name for his engine?
There already exist an engine by the name Achilles whose author is Serbian programmer Vladan Vuckovic
Author of engine Achillees is using a longer name of engine Achilles

1. Achillees was released one year ago, no one complained (it is listed in CCRL)
2. It's name is different
3. 'Achilles' from Vuckovic is long dead and was private
4. I don't care ;-)

Re: New engine releases 2020
If Vladan at some point resumes and start working on his engine, don't you think it would be kind of weird to have two engine basically using same name ? Come on Günther surely you can do better than that... Or did you self imposed isolation make you go soft now that you have decided to come back here?
