Tests with kiudee settings and SV-384x30-T60-2900net

Post by corres »

My system is
OS Windows 10 X64
endgame DB: 6 men syzygy and 5 men Nalomov for DeepFritz 14 GUI.
CPU AMD Threadripper 2950x 16x4000 Mhz fixed no SMT no turbo
I used two groups of NVIDIA cards with Leela ver.0.23.3
1.group - DUAL GPUs: 2xRTX 2060 OC (~ 1xRTX 2080 Ti OC)
2.group - TRIAD GPUs: 2xRTX 2060 OC + 1xRTX 2080 Ti OC Turbo (~ 2xRTX 2080 Ti OC)
TC was 1 min + 2 sec / move.

1. Test
42872 256x20 lc0-net with DUAL GPUs and default lco-v0.23.3parameters
: SV-384x30-T60-2900 net with DUAL GPUs and Laskos modified kiudee parameters (kiudee with Cpuct=1.90)
= 1 : 5 (94 draw) games = 100;

2.Test
Stockfish 11 (Hash = 2 GB) : SV-384x30-T60-2900 net with DUAL GPUs and Laskos modified kiudee params
= 6 : 8 (86 draw) 100 games;

3.Test
Stockfish 11 (Hash = 2 GB) : SV-384x30-T60-2900 net with TRIAD GPUs and Laskos modified kiudee params
= 2 : 10 (88 draw) 100 games;

4.Test
Stockfish 11 (Hash = 2 GB) : Jhorthos J13B.2-188 net with TRIAD GPUS and Laskos modified kiudee params
= 5 : 16(!) (79 draw) 100 games;
So tests prove the importance the net type and the leela parameters but the power of GPUs is more important!

Like I said before chess is for very rich people.

Because who else can afford to buy these super-expensive graphics cards and super-expensive computer motherboards if not very rich people?

Only rich people can become very good at chess because only rich people can afford to buy all these super-expensive computer stuff.

But you don't need any of that to become very good at chess.

Those people wouldn't get good at chess even if they were rich and bought the fastest hardware that they could, they just imagine that if they bought it magic would happen, but there's things money can't buy, and being very good at chess is one of them.

You're just being irrational.

Of course a lot of money can make someone very very strong at chess. Money can buy everything these days, including happiness and high social status, including love and affection from pretty young girls.

These days money makes the world go round.

Fake love an affection. If a girl really loves you she won't care how much money you have. Do you care about how much money the girl you'd love would have?
