If I am reading it right it looks like about 50% improvement. Not very exciting but maybe once they make an appearance prices for 2080ti drop to something reasonable.

Well, not bad, also consuming considerably less electricity. If I sell my 2070 for $350 and buy 3070 for $550, nominally it would be fine for me. I am in doubt just because my 2070 is for some weird reason in top 1% of all 2070s, although I bought a cheapo one. 15% above average 2070 on most of the tasks, including Leela. If I get unlucky with 3070, I might get only 20% improvement, which is unsatisfactory indeed.

This information is more or less useless for me.JohnW wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 7:49 pm In case anyone is interested..

1. More Tensor cores is what I need
and there is no information about how much more. There is only a: good GPU
2. RTX 3080 Ti with 4-way SLI support is what I need.

Either than or more dedicated cores fro FP16 operation, I wonder how we'll be able to compare future GTX cards to the Geforce 16 series, on paper. I assume they'll keep the RTX line out of my reach.
