The Final Rodent

Post by PK »

There was a beta some time ago (see http://www.talkchess.com/forum3/viewtop ... =2&t=71699)
Now comes the real thing, the last edition of Rodent chess engine:

Enjoy!

The rodent may be dead, but can the capybara be far behind?
Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.

Hmm, there was once a Capivara, but it may now be dormant, if not dead.

Thank you Pawel, I really enjoyed what you did with Rodent. One of the best ever, if not the best ever engine for human play. A job well done.

Nice. Thank you. About the personality creator feature. Can you derive it kind of automatically by feeding it with a pgn file? That would be really interesting.

Thanks a lot for your work on Rodent. As an open source project I hope someone else picks up the torch and we get more from this base, my only regret is not checking it earlier.

sorry but
the file D:\Downloads\FinalRodent.7z.part is infected with Trojan.GenericKD.32726045 . The threat has been successfully blocked, your device is safe. So my Bitdefender says.

There's false positives, there's a series of codes that are contained in the Trojan and they happen to match the file's contents, so it wrongly believes it's the Trojan. To check go to a web page that allows you to upload the file for inspection and check if it confirms the infection. Usually it's a harmless file but so many Trojans exist that eventually they would match some random harmless program you produce.
