My guess is that Ginkgo(Fritz17) only supports Syzygy tablebases.

Unloading and reloading Fritz 17 engine might help.keres wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2019 12:08 pmI've Syzygy too, but nothing is working with Fritz 17Harvey Williamson wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2019 11:53 amMy guess is that Ginkgo(Fritz17) only supports Syzygy tablebases.

Fritz 16 too was not working with Nalimov tablebases but if you renamed the file TBAccess.dll with TBAccess.dl_).dll then those tablebases were running very well! This is not for Fritz 17 and i don't understand what is the problem. I hope in your help, it's not useful to close and to reopen the engine. Thanks again.

Make sure you have set the correct path to your Syzygy TB files under File -> Options -> Tablebases -> Syzygy Engines

Re: Fritz 17 and Nalimov tablebases
I've Nalimov (for Fritz not Syzygy) and Syzygy all in correct path. Fritz 16 is working with Nalimov tablebases if i rename the file TBAccess.dll as i wrote in this post, but this operation is not good for Fritz 17 (mistery).Joerg Oster wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2019 11:03 amMake sure you have set the correct path to your Syzygy TB files under File -> Options -> Tablebases -> Syzygy Engines

Re: Fritz 17 and Nalimov tablebases
Because Fritz 17 doesn't support Nalimov.
