Re: Dylan Sharp Vs. Harvey Williamson (G4)
I honestly don't get 5...Ne7, unless Harvey is going to play a shocker in the next two moves, I have that in the position Nge7 would have transposed, black had 2 great alternatives, so this certainly saves me a lot of time not having to check them out anymore.

5...Ne7 is the move that avoids the guaranteed drawOvyron wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2019 1:33 pm I honestly don't get 5...Ne7, unless Harvey is going to play a shocker in the next two moves, I have that in the position Nge7 would have transposed, black had 2 great alternatives, so this certainly saves me a lot of time not having to check them out anymore.

I don't know about that move. You two are playing WAY TOO fast for my crippled computer and I to keep up with the analysis. It looks as if there were better moves.Harvey Williamson wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2019 2:30 pm5...Ne7 is the move that avoids the guaranteed drawOvyron wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2019 1:33 pm I honestly don't get 5...Ne7, unless Harvey is going to play a shocker in the next two moves, I have that in the position Nge7 would have transposed, black had 2 great alternatives, so this certainly saves me a lot of time not having to check them out anymore.

Re: Dylan Sharp Vs. Harvey Williamson (G4)
I'm just running Stockfish-dev, without providing any guidance at all. So far, all moves since g5 have been Stockfish first choices at depths of about 60. So I'm watching Stockfish self-play so far!Zenmastur wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2019 6:03 pmI don't know about that move. Well, so far Stockfish has found all the kernels. Or was "blind hen" intended to be self-referential.
