Houdini and Komodo Stoofvlees is coming to Div P

Post by Chessqueen »

As you can see Stoofvlees is NOT using the mere GTX 980 Ti that CCRL used to test it, Sttofvlees is in the same stength category as Houdini and Komodo using the proper Hardware as it is used in TCEC https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dduh7IlvADM

As you can see Ethereal, Xiphos and other great engines are just behind the tail of Stoofvlees chich is an NN engines programmed by Gian-Carlo Pascutto - The man behind LeelaZero https://www.eurogofed.org/?id=205

This has to be the greatest chess game ever played by Stoofvlees II A12 so far, and the best game int his division or League1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dduh7IlvADM

ChessBrain VB not playing too badly...Ginkgo S16 is a total mystery...Fire is last but respectable considering being out of action for quite a while.. Pedone needs work...Arasan is almost there..Jonny 8.1 (Private) is running with max cores most certainly....Laser Andscacs and Scorpio NN looking quite strong also...Time control 45 min +5 sec is a bit long for my tastes...with a limited opening book your quality of play and the extra time will result in a large number of draws...Best to open up the opening book because with the extra time the engines should be able to think around any opening novelties (cooks) and get a reasonable game early on..

True enough but it's also true that all engines in TCEC 16 will be using stronger hardware than that used by CCRL.

True and all ab Engines also use stronger Hardware in TCEC than in CCRL. The Stoofvlees II has its own Net and it is suppose to be optimized to work only with Nvidia or high end GTX GPU http://www.talkchess.com/forum3/viewtop ... =6&t=70631

True but 2 months ago the Author of Stoofvlees Gian Carlo wrote that GTX usually performs 300 Elo weaker than any RTX, and here CCRL tested Stoofvless with a mere GTX and the very lowest NOT GTX 1050 as LCZero and AllieStein were tested

Now when you use the proper GPU look what it does ==> https://tcec.chessdom.com/

And when you use a mere GTX 980Ti it performs worse than Ethereal, Xiphos, and Laser http://ccrl.chessdom.com/ccrl/404/
