IGT 2018 - International G6 Torunament

Post by stegemma »

I'm glad to announce that the 18th edition of the Italian Championship, now named "IGT 2018", will be held in Italy, near to the city of Mantova.

As the previous edition in Rome, the tournament is an international open championship and any original software can partecipate, with the rules found on the tournament announcement itself. Of course we don't allow clones and derivatives works but only original softwares from well known international programmers. The programmers must be present in person but they can use remote connection to theyr "monster machines". We do the best to provide stable WiFi connection to all participants.

Any information can be found on the official site of the tournament:

https://www.ig6.it

You can subscribe or just look at the current participants here:

Of course, our competition is based on the fairplay of the programmers. The scope is not to win but to share knowledge with other programmers and to have a nice week-end, with good old friends who speak the same computer-chess-language. Mantova city is a town full of art and beauty, with its own three lakes, the castle and multiple famous places.

We hope to see you in Borgo Virgilio - Mantova - Italy, october 27/28 2018.

The event has been organized by:

Gruppo Scacchi E Informatica (GSEI) - https://www.g-sei.org
Associazione sportiva dilettantistica Mantova Scacchi - https://www.mantovascacchi.it

We have ten participants right now. We hope to have almost twelve or more programmers, in Italy in october:

The average ELO of the softwares is more than 2600, with 3 programs of 3200 and more.

The IGT has become a very interesting competition, even this year.
