The 12th Annual ACCA Computer Rapid Chess Championships will be held with the rules and TC of the previous years.
This year, there are many conflicts with other tournaments in July and other conflicts in August.
So, the voting is open for weekends in September and the first 3 weekends in October.
For the first round of voting, I only want the absolutely can not dates. This will reduce the choices to the voting list.
So, what weekends can you NOT compete:
Sept 1-2
Sept 8-9
Sept 15-16
Sept 22-23
Sept 29-30
Oct 6-7
Oct 13-14
Oct 20-21
There isn't a rating limit for entries. If we have a large diverse turnout, we might split into groups by rating as is done in USCF tournaments.
Potentially we could have divisions such as Open, U2400, U2000 .... where U means Under.

The weekend of 22 Sept. is a bit difficult for me, the other weekends will be fine. I give preference to the weekends in early Sept. instead of Oct.

Felix tells me that the weekends of Sept 22 and 29 are bad for him but all others are good.

With several "constraint votes" in the only surviving dates are Oct 6/7 and Oct 20/21.
We vote on which of those two weekends are preferred over the next week.

It's been quite a while since I have followed this event. How many participants do you generally get?

The first two events had 41 and 36 entries. The last 3 had 14,16 and 14.Robert Pope wrote: ↑Wed Aug 29, 2018 9:07 pmIt's been quite a while since I have followed this event. How many participants do you generally get?
Regretfully, many think they shouldn't enter due to their programs being too weak. This year, I am willing to run it in divisions as is typical
in the US. So, If lots enter there could be say 3 divisions U1800, U2500 and Open.

Re: 12th ACCA World Computer Rapid Chess Championships
People have tried to enter both Leela and Deus X.
Given that they use the same code, this took some consideration.
Both will be allowed due to enough differences in their neural architectures and how they are trained.
Mark Jordan has requested to enter Leela. I responded that authors must register and they can have an operator.
I don't know enough about the Leela team to know who should be the proper person to register.
He has a 1080 ti and preorder a 2080 ti. Seems to me the heads of the Leela team should decide and see who has the best hardware but that is their decision.
