Ruffian support ...

Post by Frank Quisinsky »

Hi there,

many years after my old commercial project (combination Arena / Ruffian) I added versions 2.02 and 2.10 of Ruffian in my download area. 20-25 times per year I got mails by users of that older project. Most of them asked again and again for the last version. Different others have problems with the old copy protection on modern PCs / OS.

In my download area you can find verison 2.02 and 2.10 without copy protection so I can closed the support 12 years after.

NON Ruffian customers have with others words now a free copy of the last available engine version.

Hello, Frank.

Is 2.10 the same version that won the Dutch Computer Chess Championship at Leiden, ahead of The King and Chess Tiger?

Thanks!

No ... this was Ruffian Leiden!

But I added Ruffian 2.00 / Ruffian Leiden / opening book ... in the download file (now 2.904Mb). Hope this helps.

Please download again if you like!

Hi Antonio,

Linux and MAC versions dosn't have a copy protection. No reason to added it on my page.

Since more as 10 years I have no contacts to Perola. In case of UCI support I gave the engine versions with copy protection free. No interest to write a longer time mails to customers with problems with the older copy protection.

Frank

If you like to have it ... please send a mail to me.
My mail address you can find on my webpage under impressum.

Hi Arnaud,

BTW: Do you have a newer webpage URL.
Can't start your webpage ...

Try this more times last week and so far your link isn't in my collection.
Must make a correction here ...
