I like that they included several lower rating engines. We'll see lots of fun games before the final. Hopefully, they'll expand the list even more next year.

Also, it'd be great to know which Rybka version we're talking about.

The same question again: which will be the first TCEC to surpass 100BN per move?

I am very, disappointed.

But the engine developers probably had some very good reasons for their programs not to participate. Maybe their engines are not yet ready for a battle for the first place. And that of course is a problem if you plan to sell it.

So chances are, only Houdini 5 can prevent a SF-Komodo superfinal

Do you think it's possible to release at once new build, which is immediately 120+ ELO stronger than previous?

I would be really amazed if H5 is +20ELO vs H4

K9.42 vs H4 score in CCRL 40/40 is +35−2=40
SF7 vs H4 score in CCRL 40/40 is +44−6=70

TCEC-2015 Stage 3 score was:
SF7 vs H4 +4−0=2
K9.3 vs H4 +2−1=3

i'm disappointet too, where is Junior my favorite engine?
Instead of Junior we will see some 22xx-24xx Elo engines?!
Must be a (bad) joke!

My guess is that CB did not want to enter Fritz so it is entered as Rybka. It may be a version very similar to Fritz,

Deep Junior is commercial engine, which claim on its website 3200+ ELO in support of its $60 price.

Both in TCEC and CCRL it is ~3000 ELO.

To inflate your rating +200 ELO you have to cease participation in any tournaments.
Also you have to do this to hide absence of development - tournaments show that competitors are developing, while you are selling the same stuff year over year.
