reversed-color transpositions

reversed-color transpositions

Do today's engines check for reversed-color transpositions in their transposition table? I'm guessing they don't, since these would only tend to happen near the starting position, where the opening book is being used instead of search.

No they don't, and yes that's why.

In Fritz gui nowadays i can confirm it mirrors positions for white and black.
