[d]7k/1P6/2P2q2/4pB2/8/4Q2K/1r6/8 w - - 3 64

Code: Select all

d=32, mt=00:01:14, tl=00:28:58, s=55895 kN/s, n=4178170585, pv=Qf6, tb=64890863, R50=49, wv=4.95
The last position where an advantage was shown.
A little bit of Cloud Deep Analysis gives 64.Bc2 as best move so far.

And yet no one has figured out exactly where and how Stockfish went wrong ! So why don't you just admit that it was brilliant defensive play by Komodo !?!
Its obvious that Komodo using Contempt 0, on this kind of hardware is simply GODLIKE ! :)
64 Bc2 wins in all lines and it was in SF pv moves earlier, somehow it played Kg4.
I see the same here.

So probably some sort of prune + horizon effect together resulted in the draw. So simply is a very complicated position.

If Komodo's PV was showing a draw rather than a win, I would agree that this would have been very impressive. But Komodo saw a forced loss on its PV and that was confirmed with SF PV. Somewhere something went wrong and as much as I would like to believe it was good play from Komodo, I think it was something much less mysterious and as simple as a bug somewhere in SF code.

Don't get me wrong, I am rooting for Komodo as well and feel the level of play is just simply mind boggling.

I would take the time control, the opening book, and the hardware of the Super Final over any blitz or bullet time control offered by other ratings lists.

Don't be too sure about that ; there's a discussion going on right now on TCEC Chat that Bc2 in no way guarantees a Stockfish win !
Komodo would quite probably have come up with another defensive resource ! :)
