Games adjudication

Post by Fabio Gobbato »

The adjudication of games could save some testing time but could also distort the test result.

Do you use adjudication in your tests or not?
Is it worth using it?
Have you ever compared some tests with and without adjudication?

I don't use adjudications. I found some bugs thanks to this (broken certain win eval and so on).

This is especially important for engines who don't access tbs. For example the GUI adjudicates a TB win but the engine might have drawn instead.

There was a time that I did not use adjudication. That was a time when testing mate in 1 or so did not work well.
