Thanks for the release
I am having trouble getting it to work under the Deep Fritz 14 GUI....
It keeps on giving exceptions....
Here is the Wb2UCI I am using:
[ENGINE]
Name=The Baron 3.29 x64 MP
Author=Richard Pijl
Filename=BaronUCI.exe
[OPTIONS]
Program=baron329-x64.exe
Ponder=false
Analyze=true
OwnBook=false
Learning=3
ShowThinkingMove=true
;Logfile=true
Visible=Ponder,ShowThinkingMove,Logfile,Extras
Does it need any specific parameters to be added
Thanks in advance,
Dr.D

Re: *NEW VERSION* of The Baron
You don't need to use the wb2uci adapters because The Baron is already a uci engine.

Re: The Baron Book?
Just a thought/question......many versions of Baron (old and new) and not one of the files contains the elusive "Baron Book" now the new version 3.29 mentions Baron Book "Big"........anyone have any idea where the Baron Book "Big" "Medium" and "Small" are available for download? Thx AR

Re: The Baron Book?
Sorry, I have not made any books available. I'm afraid you'll have to use a GUI book or (if you really want to) a suitable ctg book (note the limitations I mentioned elsewhere).

Re: *NEW VERSION* of The Baron
That's great news. I remember that Baron was told to have great learning capabilities, especially in this version. Is there any tutorial that is available to user willing to tweak with its capabilities? I remember that Rodolfo Leoni, the person who did much of the work on learning, used to post here. May be he can provide us with some example.Steve Maughan wrote:Richard Pijl has released a new version of The Baron. You can find out more here:
