Might it be fun to be there as a visitor. Or would it be boring to death. Or it might be you even are not welcome because they don't want to be disturbed.

Never been there before so I don't know what I might expect.

Actually I prefer to play chess myself.

Baron 1st, Arasan 2nd

Post by jdart »

The Baron by Richard Pijl won the tournament. Arasan had the same score, but came in 2nd according to tiebreak rules:

What the hell kind of monster is that? Where did you find..I mean that find you?

Did not expect much but despite significant improvements fairly disasterous tournament for Nemeton. Goal then is probably to go parallel atleast through shared hash and invest in a modern laptop for next edition.

Still a nice event also with the Hans Bohm vs old tabletop chesscomputers simul on the first day (famous Dutch tv host IM) and friendly atmosphere as usual and some new faces to meet.

Found it on the sidewalk when i was walking back to the hotel saterday evening.
Sunday when I waited outside the building for the taxi , I heard a young bird.
Seems there was all the time a gull nest on top of us.
You might have to zoom in a bit:
