Will be allowed to use a modified chess engine ???
Of course, the name of the chess engine will also modified ...

.

P.S.
Currently, at InfinityChess server, I'm using StockFrankFishStein, the modified engine, it's not a pure Stockfish, but a Frankstein !!!

And I even thought about that sign up for the tournament, using a derivative of a strong engine, but built with some "Capivara style" ideas.

Too bad I do not have a machine strong enough to win the tournament ... I need to raise funds to buy motherboards for a new cluster ... With the award of each tournament would be enough for two motherboards (the tax on imports is very high in Brazil)

Using a modified engine is okay, and everybody can see the origin by the indicated name.

Victorious (1st) and Wolle (2nd) won the money prizes [$500 and $200] on tiebreak. 34 players, mostly with Stockfish, joined the Rapid tour (11 rounds, 16'+2"). The report gives a detailed view on the last round and a thorough analysis by GM Christopher Lutz on the decisive game Matein6 (Stockfish 5) vs. Murx (Komodo8 test version).

The 4th Engine Masters is scheduled for September 28th.
