Stockfish 5 downloads are now up at http://stockfishchess.org/download/ for Windows, OS X, and Linux. Refresh the page if it still says version DD (your browser cached the page).

Hmmm, that's no good. Which antivirus software are you using? (If you're using Norton, that makes sense because Norton uses reputation/"popularity" based scanning of files)

It's a fish, not a beast. "... testing this kraken" maybe?

Congratulations on the release of SF5.

All new executables do that. Normally the antivirus software just analyses it for a while when it's the first time it's seen that file and then if it doesn't find anything malicious it lets you use the executable. That's what Avast Deepscreen does and did. Nothing malicious found.

Stockfish speeds on my i3 4 core laptop on start position after 30 seconds of infinite analysis:
May 19 2014 standard dev release : 2671kn/s depth 24
Stockfish 5 standard release: 2633kn/s depth 24
Stockfish 5 modern release: 2637kn/s depth 23

Looking good, will beging testing immediately for CEGT 40/4, estimate date for CEGT 40/4 update will be June 7-10. Thanks for the release and congratulations.
