Which is your Preferred Platform for Mobile Chess Apps ?

I have been playing allot of over the board chess again lately and have been keeping record of the moves played. My main platforms for mobile apps has been IOS and Android. Now I don't know if it is just me, but I much prefer Android over IOS when it come to chess.

Your question is strangely formulated. Android, iOS and Windows Phone are operating systems. But what you're judging are, in fact, chess applications. So nothing to do with the OS. I don't see any reason why iOS and Windows Phone could not have equally as good chess apps as Android. The real problem is about availability of good, and ideally free and open source, software. Here Android wins, by a long way!

In some ways you have a point. I can tell you from a chess point of view that on the Android platform the apps seem to work very well together. I can take a diagram from a book using ChessOCR capture it's FEN and send that FEN straight to SCID, Droidfish, or Analyze This for example. Plus sharing them socially is very straight forward. Having used only IOS and Android I can say that the Android chess experience feels somewhat better to me. I don't know how the Windows Mobile experience is yet, but I do look forward to finding out. Of course by mobile I am only speaking about phones and tablets.

Not true at all. If it only takes one example.

I had iPhones, and iPads. I gave them to my kids. My phone is now Android, my tablets are all Android. Because chess works so much better on Android.

Yeah... So it's kind-of a mobile platform poll.
I can't see anything stopping Android

Apple's iOS is better in so many ways, but they're getting left behind
because their high prices meant relatively low adoption, which
left the door open for a competitor. They really should have allowed
OEM phone manufacture, to keep competitors at bay - but the
horse has bolted now.

PS - I quite appreciate Scid on the Go , but it's a little feature poor.
