komodo wins stage 3

By one point.
Capital punishment would be more effective as a preventive measure if it were administered prior to the crime.

Komodo on fire! Everybody out of the way! I propose a namechange. How about a special version, that has tablebases maybe and Don could call it 'nTCEC Rex' or 'Tablebase Rex' or more simply 'Rex'.

Yeah, Houdini will come into its own in the Final stage...then Komodo will certainly need all your best wishes :P

Well deserved and best wishes to challenge the Ippo clones like Houdini etc. More importantly to bring H4 down to its knees! We need more engines at the top. The time of H4 domination will come to an end soon (just as Rybka).

Many people are still asleep. :D

I think Stockfish, Komodo and Houdini have looked really good and almost equal. I think Komodo deserves the edge as it ironically seems the engine that most tries to win and has the most wins. Houdini seems to have been muted to play less aggressively and not sure if manipulating contempt has actually helped and might have hurt as Houdini is at its best when it is aggressive. What is great is that all the top engines have been beaten and that means that the competition is simply so strong that even a tiny mistake will result in a loss no matter how strong the engine is. Look forward to the final.

Didn't Don and Larry release a "Rex" years ago?
