Hi Ron.

Aretar 1.0 uci by Javier Ruiz of Spain. Unfortunately the engine is buggy, it have problems nearly 50% of the games, it does not know empassant and it have problems with castling, it works better in Arena than Winboard and his display of pv is a bit messy. The author seems not corrected faults.

Is the source code of WinBoard Zeta now included with this package? Or is it still a violation of the GPL?

Yes, please: we take licenses very seriously on Talkchess. If you advertise for a product it has to be 100% legit.

Slightly more explanation.

If you violate GPL,
Not violated GPL, is the code included.
For the code I have not seen it.
Clearly there is no code for Winboard Zeta.

The code does not have to be included in the package, as your not you include your code in the package that you distribute. You too have distributed beta versions of Winboard without source code which is not legal respect the GPL.

Is it true or not?

Or do you consider Winboard code as yours and you can do it and others do not?

Did anyone ever tell you that Winboard Zeta is not GPL?

You've had the chance to talk to Alex Guerrero on the forums, why have not asked the code?

I do think he has said that it not will provide the code to those who need them.

I'll talk to Alex Guerrero and tell him that there are people who claim Winboard Zeta source code.

Previously Alex told me there was no problem in providing the code source.

If Alex not provides the source code I will take out Winboard Zeta of pack. But I have every confidence in Alex.
