Publish your engine for ChessBase on Android

Post by Albert Silver »

Hi,

As you may have read, ChessBase for Android has recently been upgraded to run engines. It is a very nice GUI with the typical ChessBase attention to presentation.

If you would like your engine to be available for use in the app, you can, and easily.

Free engine authors can contact Aart Blik who can prepare the engine for easy installation via the Google Play store. He has already published his engine BlikJump, which I have tested and works.

Commercial engine authors who wish to have their engines sold should contact ChessBase.

Just so you know, I will be publishing an article at ChessBase News on Monday. If your engine is part of the package, or about to be, I will mention it as well as the author.

Thanks Albert. I realize several authors already gave me explicit permission to put the binary on my Android engine website in the past, but I don't want to automatically carry that over to including the engine in the Google Play package. So if you are interested, please email me or drop me an email.

Bik, not Blik, as in BikJump. Sorry.
