ChessGUI 0.223 and Swiss tournaments

Swiss Pairings by Volker Annuss
===============================
Volker Annuss (author of Hermann) generously provided his SwissOpt pairings program for integration into ChessGUI.
ChessGUI Pairing Type 1 uses the algorithm of ChessGUI author.
ChessGUI Pairing Type 2 uses Volker's SwissOpt algorithm.
ChessGUI Pairing Type 3 randomly chooses between the 2 algorithms in each cycle.
Currently, the SwissOpt algorithm does not yet support bonus points.

Swiss with bonus points
=======================
When used, the bonus points type of Swiss awards bonus points to participants, based on their Elo values.
This ensures that no engine ever plays against a much weaker or much stronger opponent, not even in first round.
Example: In a Swiss tournament with 200 participants and 15 cycles, the strongest engine may end up playing only Top 20, while Nr 70 plays only 60...80.
Setting bonus points to zero disables this feature.

Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

Thanks Matthias.
Another thing that you might like to consider is a "Team Fight" option where the only pairings are 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, etc (as per Olympiads).

Cheers,
Graham.

Can't say now whether I shall have the time for that.
BTW, there is a bug in Knock Out pairings favours weak engines.

No problem Matthias. I appreciate whatever advancements you make, even if you need a break now and then. ChessGUI has come a long way. 8-)

Maybe something is broken in the Swiss and KnockOut of ChessGUI 0.223.
I shall investigate within 3 days.

Thanks Matthias.
I recommend "Alternate Colours" for KO.
Contenders cannot yet play many games per KO match.
First test at very fast Time Control.
