ChessGUI ...

Post by Matthias Gemuh »

I have suspended work on ChessGUI indefinitely, and am therefore making this very unofficial release of ChessGUI.exe.

http://biglion.110mb.com/chess/ChessGUI.zip

It is meant only for fearless, adventurous ChessGUI users who are willing to report eventual bugs. Use this exe file with official ChessGUI 0.207 (or later) package.

New features:

1) Testsuite stuff reworked.

2) Eval Graph of pgn games (see menu).

3) Engine Self Play.
Tournaments are setup the usual way, but only first invited engine plays all games.

4) Annotation of pgn games.
- uses one or two engines.
- outputs only debug files so far.

Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

Thanks Matthias for all the time you've spent on making ChessGUI one of the best GUIs for engine v engine testing. In fact, I use ChessGUI predominantly in my CCRL testing as my preferred GUI ahead of all others.
Enjoy your break. :)

Cheers,
Graham.

Thanks, Graham.

I like the CCRL because:

1) even longest games don't end in fast sudden death time control.
2) pgn has Elo tags for easy filtering.
3) many weak engines are tested.
4) strongest engine (Houdini) is tested.

So I am happy to contribute even indirectly to CCRL.

Cheers,
Matthias.

Thanks! - Is this exe compatible with the portable version 0.214 too? (I didn't try it yet.)

The Hugedrive downloads start very slow and seem to stop. Can't dl from there, having tried twice with some hours in between. If you want an alternative filehoster, remixshare.com is a good one IMO. Thx anyway.

I could always host them on one of my VPS servers. I never use close to the allotted bandwidth. Then users aren't pestered for free vs paid.

I was kicked out of Chapters because I moved all the Bibles to the fiction section.
