Looks like Rybka is certain to beat Ivanhoe now with a 3-game lead.

Rybka again as in earlier LTC match against Houdini, as for me, proves to be the better program under this (very) LTC circumstances.
I watched a lot of games and have made a report with short comments on the games till sofar (1-28) Rybka now leads with 15,5 -12,5 with 4 games left.

It looked as if R4 had nothing special but it managed to force black into a cramped semi-active position where his pieces looked active while in reality they where restrained. Sacrificing the rook for a strong bishop and double pawn advance on the a and b-file it looked just a matter of time , but R4 defended well, benifiting from his bishop pair.
24	DR4 -Iv	E10 Blumenfeld gambit	1-0	R4 had lesser trouble by proving this gambit unsound. Especially I liked the manoevre Kf1, h4 Rh3 Rg3 controlling the position while holding his pawn

The sacrifice splintered whites position and R4 gained to many pawns for the knight sacrifice and won nicely

After looking like Ivanhoe was going to give Rybka a very hard time, the latter prevailed and thus won with 17.5 to 14.5 (+ 6 = 23 - 3).

Final Result: R4 17,5 - Iv 14,5 with 6 wins against 3 losses and 23 draws. My overall impression on this match is that R4 is the better program. R4 evaluates slightly more dynamically (to the point) and in most of the drawn games R4 didn't get into real trouble. Iv had slightly more problems in the drawn games e.g. game 2 and 14. And beside that, the only black wins where for R4; with the Tarrasch and Reti opening. These wins where really impressive. Although the overall play of the programs - under this LTC on this very fast hardware - was outstanding, there still where moves to be criticized. E.g. in the Caro Kann for R4 (13. better Nxf5 ) and in the Benko for Iv (17. better Ra2)

R4 expected 17 Ra2 but Iv choosed 17 Bc3.  A tactical exchange followed where R4 gave his Queen for a Rook and strong Bishop a little later R4 forces Iv into a Q vs double rook ending with an extra pawn for White. R4 his rooks are able to compensate for the pawn so a draw resulted
32	DR4 -Iv	A25 Benko gambit main line	draw	R4 gained a plus of about half a pawn out of the opening. Iv exchanges queens and further on a bishop on c3 whereafter white is left worthless loose a-pawn up. A draw result is logical, but not for R4 wo tries hard to win a bishop vs knight ending, buth Iv''s knight stood straight after 100 moves a really drawn position

I think the black game by R4 in match 14 was the highlight of the match. At one point R4 as black played 36. ...Nf4 !!! a totally unexpected yet devastating knight sac that had serious compensation that was hard to see. Some pretty interesting games in the match overall.
