Re: Shredder gets Gold
I loved the way Deep Junior kept the attack going in the early stages of this game, but in the end I guess he threw to much wood on the fire. The poor queen was so over worked. Nice win by Shredder.

PS: Who created Shredder's book? Looks like 9. ... 0-0 was a nice novelty.

Junior has always been the speculative engine. As engines improve and hardware improves, this type of style tends to backfire. Against humans though it is devastating.

In this one all the programs were running on the same hardware.

That is why Junior is one of my absolute MAIN engines when analyzing my own games and to train against.M ANSARI wrote:Junior has always been the speculative engine. As engines improve and hardware improves, this type of style tends to backfire. Against humans though it is devastating.
