Hi,
Bright 0.5c would get an initial rating of 2753 if he would included in the UEL.

Re: Bright 0.5c : 2753
Fights for the top in UEL are creating heat waves
Difficult decision on Bright and Spark...
And I foresee a new division between Elite and Senior.

Best,
For now, I chose Spark.
There will be no new divisions
Perhaps, it is going towards something else than UEL.

Won't you keep testing Bright 0.5c?
I don't get why you already decided to keep Spark, in spite of Bright getting better results so far in your tests.

Carlos

The rating of Bright 0.5c is only the result of the "tournoi d'entrée", 128 games.
It's not sure that it would keep this rating.
Last month, Spark replace Bright in the UEL. I understood that AJ Siemelink wrote that Spark is a new engine with more potential for developpement than Bright. But with my bad english....
Perhaps AJ will told us wich engine to use.

Patrick

Best,
I don't made a decision.
But if the future of the UCI engines is the accumulation of engines by the revolutionary gully, I have no desire to participate.

Re: Bright 0.5c : 2753
Hi Carlos,
If I add 16 games Bright 0.5c played outside from "tournoi d'entrée" the rating decrease to 2744. In this tournament on PIV, Spark 0.3a had better direct results against Bright 0.5c (1.5-0.5).
More games needed but should be more time.

Patrick

Absolutely. In my personal tests, after near 200 games for each against the same opponents, both have almost the same results. Probably Spark is better, but the difference is too short to know with few games. Let's wait for results of the CCRL/CEGT guys.
Best,
Carlos
Edit:
I read about this too. In that case, it makes sense to keep Spark on your testing instead of Bright.I understood that AJ Siemelink wrote that Spark is a new engine with more potential for developpement than Bright.
