Indeed! Yace was one of my favorite engines when I was getting into computer chess. Just something about it's simplicity, yet having the millions of functions and all the book-handling stuff and the endgame knowledge... just a ton of fun. I hope I get to play it, or at the very least get to chat with Dieter.

And it would also be nice to play against Glaurung too... ;)

I guess I should have made a post, Yace was online the other day, I tried to play a game against it, but got declined by the legend..Yace became my favorite engine when it became the first free engine to take over crafty with a decent margin..Then Dieter just sort of disappeared from the chess scene.
