Hi,

I created a wodden board:

It don't look very nice in CHessGUI (the resolution or colour depth seems to be turned down in the GUI) but if you want to try it:

http://img172.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... x81wp3.png

save it as .bmp (!) and rename it to "Chess10x8_1.bmp" and place it in the GUI_DATA folder. Dont forget to save the original Chess10x8_1.bmp in case you don't like the graphics :)

Matthias, feel free to distribute it as you like.

Best,
Alex

PS: Its made by a screenshot of Arena, I hope it's OK for the Arena team!

For some reasons I think that older versions of Chess GUI was much more colourful.

I have been granted only 10 MB webspace by T-Online    :( :!: !!!
But I will try to include the bmp.
BTW, Winboard is excellent for such bitmaps, but I am colour-blind.

Best,
Matthias.

Hi Tony,
only change is that I now develop under WinXP instead of Win2k.
I am colour-blind, so colours may remain poor till the day the user shall be able to freely choose them.
Best,
Matthias.

Anybody wishing to create a board for ChessGUI may leave the squares for Archbishops and Chancellors empty. Just send me the oherwise finished bmp to create the Archbishops and Chancellors progammatically.
