Dieter
It was hard work.
I have played many weeks with Rybka on the server and analyzed those
games thoroughly.

In the HS_for_Rybka.ctg book please mark in green the initial move
1)e4 as tournament move!

What settings should we put for the book under "Book Options"
Should we put the tournament to ON? Also what about "Variety of play" or "Influence of learn value"?
I guess tournament should be set to ON right.....?
And also why with tournament=ON in the Sicilian Najdorf with 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 a6 you have as the only playable move the 6.Bc4 and all other moves as not playable?
Statistics of your book for 6.Bc4 show 21% only for white/44% for black and 34% for the draws.... I'm confused!?

1)Rightclick 1)e4 in the book window and make that move to a Main move
(in some Chessbase GUIs 1)e4 is already a main move).
2)Writeprotect the book files now(not necessary, but my recommendation)
3)In the book options click first on "Optimize" and afterwards set :
Minimum games " 1 " and up to move " 30 ".
4)About 6)Bc4: That has nothing to do with the book statistics and should
not confuse you. I have selected special variants with this move
however very well for Rybkas play style.

And just for having a feeling about the new book:
I'm running a 1+1 tournament with Rybka 1.1 having: your book, my book(3.42 GB) and Sheebar book.
So it is Rybka 1.1 playing each other with 3 different books.
I will play 300-400 games for each engine i think.....
So far:
Code: Select all
Rybka 1.1three ********* 36.0-28.0 30.5-33.5 66.5/128 52.0%
Rybka 1.1two 28.0-36.0 ********* 38.0-26.0 66.0/128 51.6%
Rybka 1.1 32-bit 33.5-30.5 26.0-38.0 ********* 59.5/128 46.5%
Your book is destroying mine while it loses to Sheebar, while my book is destoying Sheebar. Strange world!
Although it is losing, my book is full of traps and your book fall in two of them:
In your book you have 3...e6 in the following game but it is on a grey colour and Chessbase GUI does not play it.
Yet the 3...dxe4 is playable but black should play in this line 8...Kc6! instead of 8...Kc7 Rybka played....
I will not reveal the other trap, sorry....
